Dr.James E. RizerDC, CCSP
Dr. Rizer received a Bachelors of Arts degree in 1993 from Columbia College. In 2008, he received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College. In 2011, Dr. Rizer received his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner.
He specializes in full spine and extremity adjusting, Graston Technique, Kinesio Taping Technique, rehabilitation, and nutrition. Dr. Rizer lectures to businesses and athletic teams about the benefits of Nutrition, Injury Prevention, and the Benefits of Chiropractic and Wellness Care.
Dr. Rizer serves as a guest speaker to medical students at New Orleans Tulane University of Medicine and has students shadow him in practice. He is a preceptor for chiropractic students for Texas Chiropractic College and an Ambassador for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. He is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and the Executive Achievers Association. Additionally, he holds a certificate for the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Program.
Dr. Ryan Gutz received his bachelor's in Kinesiology from Iowa State University in 2016. Following his undergraduate experience, he received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his time at Northwestern, Dr. Gutz received comprehensive training from the Motion Palpation Institute, which involved traveling to numerous cities throughout the United States for seminars and workshops. He was also the Motion Palpation Club President of Northwestern Health Sciences Chiropractic College where he instructed students on the Motion Palpation method.
Dr. Gutz was born and raised in rural Northwest, Iowa. He grew up an avid athlete with a passion for playing golf at a competitive level. He played competitive golf in 15 states from ages 7-19, and participated in sports such as football and basketball.
Dr. Gutz serves his community by promoting a healthy active lifestyle for all patients. He utilizes chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, and functional rehabilitation programs in all of his treatment plans to help patients recover from a wide variety of injuries and support healthy living.
Dr.Gerry G. ProvanceDC
Gerry G. Provance, DC (Retired) graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1980. Dr. Provance has been a New Orleans area Chiropractor in private practice since 1981. In 1989, he received his Diplomate as a Sports Physician from New York College. He specializes in sports injuries and has assisted in improving the performance of athletes through the utilization of chiropractic care.
Dr. Provance has treated many levels of athletes from professional and Olympic to collegiate and high school sports. Throughout his career he has been a consultant of many athletic teams.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Provance lectures to fellow Doctors of Chiropractic, as well as other health care professionals and coaches about joint function, manipulation of extremities, motion palpation and sports injuries. He has published a number of articles on joint manipulation and sports injuries and has also authored a chapter in the book Conservative Management of Sports Injuries.
