Dr. James E. Rizer DC, CCSPLead Sports and Family Chiropractor
Dr. Rizer is a board-certified chiropractic physician specializing in non-invasive, non-surgical and drug-free pain therapy. Dr. Rizer is highly skilled in diagnosing, treating, and caring for complex pain disorders, from herniated discs to general disc issues, arthritis, joint disorders, muscle conditions, nerve conditions, and headaches. What sets Dr. Rizer apart is his advanced training in soft tissue injury repair, exercise, and taping techniques, particularly tailored for athletes and active individuals. He received a Bachelors of Arts degree in 1993 from Columbia College. In 2008, he received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College. In 2011, Dr. Rizer received his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner.
As a Chiropractor in Metairie, Louisiana, he specializes in full spine and extremity adjusting, Graston Technique, Kinesio Taping Technique, FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab), rehabilitation, and nutrition. Dr. Rizer lectures to businesses and athletic teams about the benefits of Nutrition, Injury Prevention, and the Benefits of Chiropractic and Wellness Care.
As a New Orleans area Chiropractor, Dr. Rizer serves as a guest speaker to medical students at New Orleans Tulane University of Medicine and has students shadow him in practice. He is a preceptor for chiropractic students from Texas Chiropractic College and an Ambassador for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. He is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and the Executive Achievers Association. Additionally, he holds a certificate for the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business Program.
Dr. Gerry G. Provance DC
Gerry G. Provance, DC (Retired) graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1980. Dr. Provance has been a New Orleans area Chiropractor in private practice since 1981. In 1989, he received his Diplomate as a Sports Physician from New York College. He specializes in sports injuries and has assisted in improving the performance of athletes through the utilization of chiropractic care.
Dr. Provance has treated many levels of athletes from professional and Olympic to collegiate and high school sports. Throughout his career he has been a consultant of many athletic teams.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Provance lectures to fellow Doctors of Chiropractic, as well as other health care professionals and coaches about joint function, manipulation of extremities, motion palpation and sports injuries. He has published a number of articles on joint manipulation and sports injuries and has also authored a chapter in the book Conservative Management of Sports Injuries.

Jill Rizer RN, BSN, CENAdministrative Office Manager
Jill is a Certified Emergency Nurse with 20 years of experience. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing in 2003 from Our Lady of Holy Cross College. Jill joined the practice as the Administrative Office Manager in 2015.
She is responsible for the development and implementation of the practice’s policies and procedures; manages and oversees daily operations within the practice; maintains the accounts receivables; insurance processing and monthly billing. Jill is always available to answer any of your questions or concerns about our services, insurance, and billing.
Jill is also a wellness journalist, specializing in working with a variety of different healthcare companies to promote healthy living. She has a passion for helping people take control of their health. Ultimately, improving quality of life, to live your BEST life!
